Pieces of me

Pieces of me presents a selection of 20 drawings from a large series created between 2023 and 2024 for the exhibition Des Seins à Dessein (Espace Arlaud, Lausanne).

The motifs and narratives of this series were intuitively shaped by a spontaneous search for information around the exhibition's theme. In particular, Caroline Ventura worked with personal statements collected as texts with the help of Ose Thérapies, an association that helps cancer patients during their treatment and remission.

To create these drawings, she used a variety of spontaneously available drawing media and tools, such as pens, stickers, felt-tip pens and glitter, with a view to archiving visual and aesthetic discoveries.
